The Mitchell Renovation
"The Mitchell" was originally constructed to be a Chevrolet dealership, built in 1946, in Fuquay Varina. The current Owners contacted us about redesigning and renovating the building into a subdivided shell building, suitable for retail and business use.
Improvements included major demolition of all interior finishes and existing storefront openings, installation of interior common stairways and handicapped ramps for access to the existing basement, as well as new interior demising walls. New “Low E” storefront glass systems, 14 Seer HVAC systems and added building insulation were installed to make the building more efficient. Careful attention was paid to the Owner’s desire to maintain as much of the original feel of the building, while updating it with modern features. “Green” products were used where possible to compliment the Owner installed solar energy buy back system.
